Adult Immunizations
Immunizations are important for people of all ages. Adults should receive a booster dose of Tetanus Diphtheria (Td) vaccine every 10 years, and may need additional vaccinations based on their age, disease risks and health status. Routine vaccinations are provided at all Kent County Public Health Clinics. You do not need an appointment. Children's Special Health Care Services
Program to help families who have children with handicaps or chronic health conditions with coverage of medical expenses and service coordination. Call (616) 632-7066 for more information.
Maternal Infant Health Program
Free service for pregnant women and families with infants. A public health nurse, nutritionist, and/or social worker make visits to each mother at home, before and after baby is born. Services include health and parenting education, counseling, service coordination, and referral. Payment and arrangements for transportation included. Call (616) 632-7058 for more information.
Medicaid Enrollment for Pregnant Women
Free service to help pregnant women without insurance to enroll in Medicaid. Available by appointment only at the Fuller Clinic, 700 Fuller N.E. Call (616) 632-7058 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Nurse Family Partnership
Free service for first-time Moms. A public health nurse can visit you in your home if you enroll before your third trimester. Services include health and parenting education, goal-setting, and referrals to community services. Call (616) 632-7058 for more information.
WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children)
Free nutrition program for pregnant and breastfeeding women and children up to age five, provides coupons for nutritious foods, education, and immunization.
