Special Events
Special Event Service RequestThe Kent County Sheriff's Office offers special event services to businesses, organizations, or persons who are in need of a police presence for traffic control, traffic enforcement, security, or public relations (mounted unit only).
Services are offered on an hourly fee basis per deputy, including a patrol cruiser. There is a minimum two hour charge for services.
2023 Rates
- Non Holiday Rate: $95 per hour
- Holiday Rate: $124 per hour (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Day only)
2024 Rates
- Non Holiday Rate: $100 per hour
- Holiday Rate: $131 per hour (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Day only)
To request a deputy at a special event, complete the Special Event Service Request. You will be able to upload local government permits, maps or any other information regarding your event. Once submitted, the Kent County Sheriff's Office will contact you during regular business hours.
